The city of Nha Trang is becoming more popular with the tourists in recent years. Yet, with a population of 300,000, Nha Trang still retains its small town atmosphere. This resort town is well known for its miles of beach and the friendliness of its people. The city is flanked by nearly ten kilometers of prime beach where the water is warm year round. The average temperature in Nha Trang is 26 C. Nha Trang also has the lowest level of humidity in all of Vietnam. Today, Nha Trang ranks among the top of all beaches in Vietnam. Nha Trang has several famous islands. Most notable are Hon Tre, Hon Yen, Hon Rua and the Spratly islands.
Da Lat city is probably one of Vietnam's most well known vacation destination. Since the turn of the century, Da Lat has been the vacation spot for well-to-do vietnamese and foreigners. It is the unofficial honeymoon mecca of Vietnam. Located on (Langbian) high lands, part of the greater Central high lands of Vietnam (Cao Nguyen Trung Phan), the city is 1500 m above sea level and is 305 km from Saigon. The name Da Lat originates from the hill tribe people in this region. It literally means Stream of the Lat people.
Day 1: Nhatrang - Dalat
Dalat – the jewel of the Central Highlands. It is featured by a park-like environment, with lovely temperature 15°-24°C and sunlight all year round, which create numerous waterfalls, pinewood hills, lakes and evergreen forests and gardens.
Upon arrival, you will first visit Prenn waterfalls about 10km away from Dalat on the way, thenTuyen Lam Reservoir, Truc Lam grandiose temple. Have lunch, then take the horse cart round the hilly roads of Dalat to the graceful Xuan Huong Lake in the centre of the city is highly recommended. Evening, if you like to hike around by yourselves, remember that coffee and cake in Dalat are some of the best in Vietnam and easily to be found in any finer cafes. Overnight in Dalat.
Day 2: Dalat - Nha Trang
After breakfast, you will go on having half day tour around Dalat city. Visit the Summer Palace of Bao Dai, the last King of Vietnam, Dalat Flower Garden & Crazy House. Time is on your own to explore Dalat by yourself before transfering to Nha Trang. Lunch break on the way. The landway from Dalat to Nha Trang is very sightworthy and photogenic passing pinewoods, waterfalls, farms of tea and coffee, Ngoan Muc Pass (i.e. “the Picturesque Pass”, and known to the French as the Bellevue Pass) overlooking the magnificent Danhim Reservoir, and spectacular view of the ancient tower Po Klong Garai built by the Cham nation in Phan Rang - Thap Cham, 190 km from Dalat.
