Conquering Fansipan Peak - The Roof of Indochina 5 days 6 nights

At 3143m Mt. Fansipan is the highest peak in Vietnam and the entire Indochina peninsula. This remote trek provides plenty to see and absorb, from the scattered rocks inscribed with drawings and designs of unknown origin, to the French influenced hill retreat town of Sapa with its minority groups, beautiful villas and cherry forests. Our trek to the top of Mt. Fansipan is challenging and will be fully supported every step of the way by our guides, porters and cooks who's local knowledge and understanding of the different hill-tribe cultures we pass along the way will add to the uniqueness of this exhilarating journey.

Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai Railway Station 

We will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi and take you to the station for a night-train travel from Hanoi to Lao Cai.

Day 1: Lao Cai Railway Station - Sapa (B/D)

Arriving at Lao Cai Station in the early morning, our local tour guide will welcome and transfer you through a 35km (22 miles) slopping road to reach the poetic Sapa Town. After enjoying breakfast in misty scenery of “Sapa in the clouds”, you are free to walk around the peaceful and narrow streets and admire the ancient architecture corner of the town built by the French in the early 19th century.
In the afternoon, the tour guide will lead you to Ham Rong Mountain to enjoy the Sapa’s panoramic view as part of trial practice trekking course before climbing to Fansipan Peak the next day. Later, you can go shopping at the local market or walk around the villages to get familiar with trekking activities. After that, our tour guide will remind you about necessary things and trekking rules in the forest.
Enjoy the dinner with local specialties of mountainous Sapa Town. You will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Sapa - Base camp 2 (2800m) (B/L/D)

After breakfast at Sapa, we will start our trekking trip to conquering Fansipan Peak. Bringing your only necessary items, we will transfer to Tram Ton Heaven Gate) where you will get acquaintance with friendly and experienced porters from Vietnam Discovery Travel and start trekking up to the top passing through the spectacular landscapes of Hoang Lien Mountains. We then stop for a picnic lunch at 2200m point.
Enjoying a short rest, we will keep on trekking up to 2800m base camp for overnight. The porters will help you make personal tent and campfire. You will have unforgettable experiences at night in the mountain.

Day 3: Fansipan peak - Sin Chai - Sapa (B/L/D)

This day we will swallow the final challenge rocky slopes up to reach Fansipan Peak at 3143m height and experience the memorable winning moments in your own way at the top of Indochina’s Roof. After the moments of victory and photo time, we will then turn back to the trail through the jungle and yellow bamboo forest – specialties of Hoang Lien Son Mountains. Lunch will be served on the way back at the scheduled stopover so that you will have full of energy for a hard trekking day.
Trekking downhill is easier and faster and you will arrive at Sin Chai Village in the late afternoon when the smoke from H’mong kitchen floating around the air. Getting into the car and come back to the hotel then you will have time to shower and relax before tasting a cozy dinner full of local specialties.
Stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa town.

Day 4: Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Lao Cai Station – Hanoi (B/L/-)

You can reward yourself with a long sleep and having late breakfast after an exciting day. Then the tour guide will lead you to some local houses to learn more about the daily life and unique culture values of ethnic groups in the Northwest of Vietnam. Different from the itinerary of the previous days, on the way of trekking downhill to Lao Chai Village, a residence of Black H’mong ethnic minority, you will see the panorama of Sapa with floating smoke from peaceful wooden houses, a clean stream, grey mountain ranges and immense terraces. Stop at Lao Chai Village, you will meet and talk to friendly locals before trekking to Ta Van Village– the only place in the valley inhabited by Dzay minority.
After lunch at Ta Van Village, you will return to Sapa by car for showering, relaxing and spending leisure time shopping before driving to Lao Cai Railway Station for the night-train back to Hanoi. Stay overnight on train. The trekking tour ends at the station in Hanoi.

Trekking in Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve 4 days 3 nights

The Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve is created in 2006 and opened to tourists in 2010. The reserve is a beautiful new ecotourism destination southeast of Hanoi city. It is situated between Cuc Phuong National Park and Pu Luong Nature Reserve. The Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve contains a variety of wonderful landscapes and ecosystems and is also home to traditional villages of the Muong ethnic minority. This is a relaxing and peaceful place, where you can be surrounded by nature and rediscover a sustainable way of living
.
Day 1: Hanoi - Khuong Village (L/D)

Our guide and driver will pick you up at 7:00 at your hotel to depart for our trekking tour in Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong Nature Reserve. Before trekking, we’ll take a bamboo rafting trip and enjoy lunch with delicious specialties of this region in a local restaurant.
After lunch, get your camera ready and we will get on the car heading to Thuong Village where we will start our 3 – 4 hour trekking through a hidden trail to deep inside Ngoc Son - Ngo Luong nature reserve. Don’t forget to capture great pictures on the way when catching spectacular view from hill or strange creatures in the forest. Reaching Khuong village where we’ll stay overnight at a local stilt-house, dinner will be served at the home-stay with unique dishes coupled with pristine local song-and-dance performance.

Day 2: Khuong Village - Mon Village (B/L/D)

The fresh air and birds’ songs will wake you up early to enjoy breakfast. Then we will start our day trekking trip to Mon village through the spectacular landscapes with limestone pinnacles, granite outcrops and rice fields clinging to mountain verges. At noon, you will stop by Mu Waterfall to enjoy a picnic lunch and then continue trekking to Mon village to discover the diverse beauty and incredible bio-diversity of the Northwestern nature. Meeting and talking with locals working in the terrace rice field will help you know more about their daily life.
Arriving at Mon village at the end of the day, your hard work is rewarded with interesting and relaxing time of dinner and stilt-house home-stay, which gets you full of energy for the next day.

Day 3: Mon Village - Hieu Village (B/L/D)

Spend your third day trekking through Mon village to Coi Gao (about 7km). On this trekking journey, you will explore the vast diversity while enjoying the fresh mountain air with a scheduled picnic lunch next to a small charming waterfall in the forest.
In the afternoon, the tour guide will lead you to go through the forest to reach Hieu Village. Along the trekking journey, you will immerse in the fresh green, listen to birds’ songs and take photos of any animals you meet on the way.
Arriving at the tranquil Hieu village, you can walk to visit a nice waterfall nearby and swim in the stream. Then you will have a nice night with local food, local wine and comfortable homestay.

Day 4: Hieu Village - Hanoi (B/L)

After breakfast, at around 9:00 we will have 7km trekking from Hieu to outside of the village along the narrow trail with water wheels views. Our car will wait for you and then transfer for lunch at a local restaurant on Ho Chi Minh Trail and then drive straight to Hanoi.
The trekking tour in Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong is expected to come to an end at around 18:00 in Hanoi at your hotel.

Cycling tour to Bat Trang Village – Dong Ho Village and But Thap Pagoda one day

Running away from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi capital, let leave it for a while and join our cycling tour to the countryside with traditional handicraft villages and pagodas for some refreshments. This day trip will take you to one of the most famous pottery villages in Vietnam called Bat Trang and the only folk-painting village in Vietnam named Dong Ho. You will also have chance to visit the cradle of Vietnam’s Buddhism with the most ancient pagodas, Dau Pagoda and But Thap Pagoda. 
You’ll be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi at 7:30am and transferred to our bike store to pick up your bike and start cycling along the Red River dike to the scenic countryside of Hanoi. On the way, we will pass peaceful villages, lush green rice fields and vegetable farms. The small biking trail will lead you to Bat Trang Pottery Village where you will experience the daily life of locals, try to make some products, visit the pottery market and buy some souvenirs for your beloveds.
We will then leave your bike to the support car and take a short drive to Dau Pagoda (in BacNinh Province), where you can learn about Buddhism in Vietnam. This pagoda is a link between Buddhism and the faith of agricultural Gods worshiping for thousand years.
Leaving Dau Pagoda, you’ll continue to Dong Ho folk-painting village – where woodcut paintings of Vietnam were born. You will observe the process of making paintings.
After lunch in Dong Ho Village, you will bike along Duong River (Sông Đuống) towards But Thap Pagoda – an ancient pagoda with unique architecture which symbolizes for Buddhism in 13th century under Tran Dynasty. Our tour-guide will share with you the knowledge and interesting facts about Buddhism in Vietnam since 13th century.
You will be transferred back to Hanoi at about 16:00. End of the tour.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Endangered Primate Rescue center and learn about the work that is being done to preserve the endangered native primates. After lunch in a restaurant at headquarters, we commence our trek through the lush rainforest, past centuries-old trees. Overnight in guest house in the middle of the forest.

Day 2: Cuc Phuong - Pu Mat national park- Khe Ran village (B, L, D)

Rising to the sounds of the forest all around us, breakfast and for Nghe An province on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and turn right, take  Highway No.7 to Pu Mat national park, meandering west through pure, rustic beauty towards the Laos border. After 4 hours of driving, arrival in Pu Mat. Lunch in local restaurant. Afternoon you will take short walking to visit the Nature Education Centre and experience the park’s extraordinary diversity. Then transfer to Khe Ran and Bong Khe village where you will hike through the unique village and to learn about the tradition and the culture of ethnic people. Tonight enjoy dinner and overnight in homestay in Khe Ran village. (You may have possibility to enjoy the traditional dancing and singing: optional)

Day 3: Khe Ran village- Nua- Yen Thanh ( B,L,D)

Breakfast at homestay then take opportunity to explore the nature forest, the rivulet Khe Ken and Nuoc Moc. En route, we visit Thai ethnic groups to discover their culture and daily life. Take lunch in Khe Ken village.  Afternoon visit and explore Yen Thanh and Luc Da village to meet Thais people, learn how they can grow rice , reclaim land for cultivation, raise cattle and poultry, make bamboo and rattan products and weave traditional brocade cloth.  Especially their brocade cloth is well known for its bright colors and unique decorative patterns.  Free and easy time. Dinner and overnight at homestay in Yen Thanh village.

Day 4: Yen Thanh- Co Phat village- Back to Hanoi (B,L)

Morning breakfast and prepare to embark to Giang river. Take a local boat cruise upstream Giang river to discover the splendid and superb beauty of the mountains and forests along the river to Co Phat and Khe Lang village where you will have an opportunity to meet the Dai Lai ethnic group and hear about their “sitting sleeping” custom and lunch in the village. Afternoon you visit Pha Lai dam before transfer back to Hanoi city. Arrival in Hanoi. End of service.

Day 1 : Arrival in Hanoi

Arriving at Hanoi airport, after clearing immigration and customs, you will be met and privately transferred to a hotel in the heart of the city. Your time to relax after a long flight. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2 : Hanoi (B,L)

Spend today exploring the villages and countryside around Hanoi. Located on a high strip of land along Bai Giang river, 30 km from the center of Hanoi, Dai Bai is one of the few well-known bronze casting villages in Vietnam. This traditional village specializes in the house’s essential productions such as warm, trays, pots. After that, drive to the village of Xuan Lai, which is famous for its unique style of smoked bamboo furniture. The artisans in these villages are trying to maintain and develop their products to make them unique and valuable uses. Coming here, we also have a chance to get to know about the friendly villagers as well as their local culture. Make a stop and enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant in Bac Ninh province. We will then continue to home to Quan Ho folk music, which has been performed by locals for nearly 1,000 years. You will have a special treat of meeting Mrs. Ban, who is one of the oldest living persons that still performs Quan Ho folk music in Diem village. Then enjoy 30 minutes of private Quan Ho folk show. If still have enough time, we depart for Dinh Bang commune to visit the Do temple, where has been a place of worship of 8 first Kings of the Ly dynasty.  After that transfer back to Hanoi. Day 3 : Hanoi (B,L)

After having breakfast, meet your guide and continue exploring Hanoi. Start with the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh and the Presidential Palace, followed by the serene One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature known as the site of Vietnam's first university and a shrine for Confucian worship, founded in the year 1066. Next, visit the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, ironically nicknamed "the Hanoi Hilton." Built by the French colonists and used as house for Vietnamese political prisoners, it was later used to keep captured American POWs during the war. Then continue to the Huu Tiep neighborhood to see an American B-52 that was shot down during the Christmas bombing of Hanoi in 1968. Afternoon, have a little leisure time to back your hotel, then tour around the city's Old Quarter by a bicycle rickshaw, called a cyclo. In this part of town, each colorful street is devoted to a particular craft or ware. You will be pedaled amongst the quaint French buildings along Shoe Street, Silk Street and Banner Street (to name just a few), ending at the historic Hoan Kiem Lake - the social center of Hanoi. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy the Water Puppet Performance. Traditional content of these shows relates to daily life of Vietnamese farmers, communal entertainment or historical legends. The artists - men and women - stand waist-deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move around, talk and laugh and even dance on the surface of the water. The show will be accompanied by beautiful, traditional Vietnamese music. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 4 : Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel and then start a 3-hour driving through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Comfort stop en route for photos and coffee before arriving to Ha Long City. We then transfer to a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay to enjoy a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone this World Heritage Site. While being on board, we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by swimming and exploring some of the limestone caves in this area. Try the feeling of witnessing the sunset on boat is really great. Dinner on board. The captain then will anchor for the night nearby a remote island.  In the evening, there is the option for night fishing or just sit out on the deck and relax under the stars. Overnight on Junk.

Day 5 : Halong Bay – Flight to Hue (B,L)

Waking up surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the bay, we have time for an early morning dip with joys and emotions for watching sunrise on sea followed by breakfast. The cruise continues to move around the bay for us to discover more secluded areas, we then take kayaking and swimming in the stunning bay. The junk will be near us at all times serving as a backup vessel for those that require it. At around midday we will return to the main harbor before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for a 3-hour journey to to Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue. Upon arrival Hue, being picked up & transferred to the hotel in Hue. Overnight at the hotel in Hue.

Day 6 : Hue (B,L)

Morning we set out for the exploration of Hue's famous highlights, beginning with the picturesque Thien Mu pagoda, or Heavenly Lady Pagoda. Built in 1601 between a river and a pine forest, this pagoda is one of the oldest and prettiest religious buildings in the country. Among many interesting artifacts displayed here, there is the car which the former monk Thich Quang Duc left in Saigon before burning himself to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its treatment of Buddhists. Disembark the board for a visit the elaborate mausoleum of former emperor Tu Duc. Transfer back to Hue center for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, take a visit to the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. Built in the 19th century by the Nguyen dynasty, the City was home to the former Emperors of Vietnam from 1802 until 1945. After that, walking around and shopping in Dong Ba Market to enjoy the specialties of Hue city. Overnight at the hotel in Hue

Day 7 : Hue – Danang – Hoian (B,L)

After having breakfast, we continue south by road to Hoi An. The scenery en route is very beautiful. We make a stop at Lang Co beach for coffee and refreshments before winding our way up the spectacular Hai Van Pass to admire the stunning views north to Lang Co beach and south to Danang City. Continue on our way down to the other side and head to Da Nang where we will stop at the Cham Museum, the famed China Beach, and the Marble Mountains. Arrival in Hoi An, we will have our first glimpse of this beautiful boutique town recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site The tranquil and charm of Hoi An with its low tiled houses of Chinese appearance, Japanese covered bridge, brightly painted temples and pagodas make it one of Vietnam’s most delightful places. Overnight at hotel in Hoian

Day 8 : Hoian – Tra Que Village (B,L)

Morning, you will cycle to Tra Que Vegetable Village. Your cycling trip takes you on narrow roads to visit a place of display farming and fishing tools of the local farmers and fishermen. In this place, you will participate in daily activities of the local residents in the old time such as bailing out water with long handles buckets, pounding rice, lifting fishing nets, etc. Especially, you will savor boiled sweet potatoes dipping them into ground salty roasted peanut, drink lotus tea gathered from Tra Que lotus lagoon and listen to folk songs about Quang Nam native country, Hoi An Old Town as well as Tra Que Vegetable Village.   After that you will keep going the tour to a house of a local resident to hear about history of the village foundation and the development of this village. Then local farmers will take you to see vegetable gardens and instruct you the techniques of planting and cultivating many kinds of vegetables planted in the gardens. You have a chance to join hand in cutting, tying in bundles, and reaping the vegetables to bring home for processing food. Back to Tra Que’s family house, you will enjoy yourself with "foot massage" before working together with our family chef to learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food. Then, sit down and savor the dishes you have just prepared. In the afternoon, say goodbye to your host family and ride back to Hoian, on the way, visit Nhat tomb and Ba Le well. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 9 : Hoian – My Son -  Flight to Nha Trang (B,L)

Start your tour today with the 4th century Cham religious sanctuary of My Son, which is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, located in a beautiful green valley surrounded by impressive mountains. While a small site, the ruins at My Son are the largest and most intact remaining in Vietnam. It is also the home to the Museum of Cham Sculpture, which records the development of the culture and history of the Cham people through their elaborate sculptures and carvings. The passable road ends about 1.5 miles from the actual site. At this point you have the option of taking a 4WD jeep or hiking the remainder of the distance to the ruins. Return to Hoian for lunch. Afternoon, transfer to Danang airport for flight to Nha Trang - the country's premier Resort town. Arrive in Nha Trang by mid to late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 10 : Nha Trang (B,L)

After breakfast, from your hotel depart for Cau Da port. Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island is the first place to visit, many sea species of Nha Trang/Khanh Hoa province make a small ocean world there. Mun Island is the best island for snorkeling where you can see lots of colorful corals and fish. Take a visit to a fishing village and have a fresh lunch at the island. On the way back you will be able to see caves in which the sea swallows make their nest.  Then we head to the Po Nagar sanctuary, a beautiful site of the Cham and the Xom Bong fishermen's village, followed by the Oceanographic Institute which includes an aquarium and an exhibition Hall displaying more than 20,000 samples of sea animals. The 23 pools of the aquarium hold a great variety of richly colorful marine species, specially the sea-horses.  Make a stop to visit the Long Son pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 11 : Nha Trang - Dalat (B,L)

Morning, after breakfast and time relaxing, we drive to Dalat. After 3 hours on the road, you'll reach the mountainou town of Dalat, make a stop at hill tribe villages of the Ede, Koho and Chu Ru groups. Arriving at Da Lat, sometimes known as the City of Eternal Spring, check in the hotel. After lunch, we visit Bao Dai Palace, Vietnam's last emperor palace with a place for him to rest with his family and the rather bizarre and very aptly named Crazy House, a brightly painted concrete house which winds itself around trees, mimicking their shapes. It is used as a guesthouse now. Next destination is Truc Lam Thien Vien and Pagoda. Time at your leisure. Overnight in Dalat.

Day 12 : Dalat (B,L)

Morning, after breakfast, go sightseeing at Ankoet Water-fall, Golden Spring, Silver Spring, Dankia, and the community of mountains, springs and lakes, the wonderful landscape of Lam Vien Plateau. Transfer to Lat Village of Loc Lat people at the bottom of Langbiang Mountain. On the way, overlook Dalat suburb with farm produces and fruits of the earth plantation. Go climbing and conquer the top of Langbiang. You can gaze at the whole poetic and visionary Dalat city in the fog. Afternoon, visit Dalat Railway Station: This is the cog railway linking Dalat and Thap Cham from 1928 to 1964, until it was closed due to war. Remarkable with its architecture and its old steam locomotive, we will take 7km train riding to Trai Mat through vegetable farms. Return to hotel. Time at your leisure. Overnight in Dalat.

Day 13 : Dalat – Flight to Saigon (B,L) 

In the early morning, transfer to Dalat airport for flight to Saigon. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you are picked up and transferred to hotel for check in and rest. Afternoon, we depart for the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam, followed by the War Remnant Museum, where you can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war. We stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office to get our good shots for our memory of the biggest city in Vietnam. In Ben Thanh Market, you can experience our Vietnamese Southern daily life. Time for you to explore by yourself. Overnight at the hotel in Saigon.

Day 14 : Saigon – Cai Be – Can  Tho (B,L)

Morning, leave Ho Chi Minh City, departure for Cai Be. After reaching, embark boat cruise through the natural canal, view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river side. Going on to the island to enjoy a delicious lunch in the heart of the orchard, visit the whole sale fruit market. After lunch, we continue cruising through the natural canal under the shadow of the water coconut trees of this island. We also visit the local family where we can experience the agricultural lifestyle. Walking through the fruit plantation in An Binh Island then get on the row boat, ride along the creeks before reaching Vinh Long town by boat. Then continue riding to Can Tho city. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 15 : Can Tho – Cai Rang – Saigon (B,L)

Check out the hotel in Can Tho, we set off on a short drive and enjoy a boat trip to explore the impressive floating market of Cai Rang whose trading way is unique. In each boat, the vendors usually sell one particular item such as pumpkins, pineapples, sugar canes which are hang on the highest part of the boat in order that the customer easily knows where to find their needed items. We design this package for travellers who really want to discover off the beaten path in Vietnam. Away from touristy sites, let’s experience the homestay, history sites, and wild beaches.

Day 1 : Arrival at Hanoi 

Arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, pick up and transfer to hotel. You’ll have time to relax. In the evening, you’ll have tickets for a performance of traditional Water Puppetry. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi

Day 2 : Hanoi -  Muong Khen – Mon Village (B,L,D)

Morning after breakfast, departure for Xuan Mai and follow the Ho Chi Minh trail to the header quarter of Ngoc Son Ngo Luong reserve. After 2,5 hour, arrival at Muong Khen village around noon time and take a small road to enter the reserve. Picnic-lunch and we will take motor-tax more than 10 km through the forest. It might be muddy but it is worth to get dirty here. We continue riding the bike across the wild forest, enjoy the beautiful scenery, we can take some stop for photos, and arrive in the afternoon Ngo Luong village. Visit some family, enjoy the teas and then continue motor-taxi riding across the reserve to Mon village. Check in the homestay, shower and relax. Overnight in homestay in Mon village

Day 3 : Mon  village – Khay village – Mu village - Sat Village (B,L,D)

Morning enjoy the breakfast prepared by the host we start light trekking through different vivid villages. We will have different atmospheres along the trekking, meet different local people, visit different families. A promise also for numerous encounters and strong feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. You will have opportunity to visit the waterfalls on our way. Picnic lunch en route, maybe near by the biggest waterfalls of the area. Arrival in Sat village and check in the homestay near by stream and waterfalls. Overnight in Sat village 

Day 4 : Sat Village – Chieng Village – Vu Ban - Hanoi  (B,L) 

Morning we leave Sat village and start trekking around 13 km  to Chen Village where we meet our motor-taxi driver. After lunch motor-tax will bring us downhill out of the reserve and toward to Vu Ban town where our vehicle pick up and transfer back to Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi the late afternoon. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 5 : Hanoi- Danang- Pleiku - Kon Tum  (B,L,D)

After breakfast, pick up and transfer to Noi Bai  the airport for the morning flight to Pleiku, transiting in Danang. On arrival at Pleiku, a car will be waiting for you to take you to Phun, a Ja Rai ethnic minority village. You’ll continue to Kontum and then travel to Konkotu village for dinner and a well-earned night’s sleep in the village Rong house.

Day 6 : Kontum Trekking and Rafting  (B,L)

In the morning, You will trek six km through the forest to Jolong village and the source of the Dak Bla River, crossing the Kon Ba hanging bridge en-route. Next, you’ll climb into an inflatable dingy to ‘raft’ down the DakBla River, stopping on the way for a riverside picnic lunch. After lunch, you’ll carry on down the river for a couple of hours, eventually returning to Konkotu village where you’ll be met and driven to Kon Tum City. Overnight in Kon Tom.

Day 7: Kon Tum - Buon Ma Thuot  (B,L) 

In the morning, your vehicle will take you to Buon Ma Thuot. Upon arrival and after checking in and lunch, you’ll visit Gia Long waterfall. You’ll cross the river on a simple raft, and stroll through primitive forest. After clambering down a slope, you’ll be able to bathe in the ‘Fairy Pool’, a small natural lake with a sandy bottom. Transfer to Buon Ma Thuot.  Overnight in Buon Me Thuot.

Day 8 : Buon Ma Thuot - Lak Lake  (B,L) 

This morning, you should get up early and leave your hotel for Buon Juin, a M’Nong ethnic minority village where you can witness the local lifestyle. When you arrive, your guide will show you around the village while the local people are preparing their breakfast and feeding the pigs. Your breakfast will be served in a small local restaurant in the middle of the village. You’ll then take a dugout canoe to cross Lak Lake to the M’lieng village for an elephant ride. Overnight in homestay.

Day  9 : Lak Lake Buon Ma Thuot - Ho Chi Minh City  (B)

Morning you’ll be free in the morning until your car and driver arrive to take you to Buon Ma Thuot airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel in the city centre. After checking in, you’ll be free for a preliminary wander around tourist area. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 10 : Ho Chi Minh - Con Dao  (B)

Yen Tu mountain full day

Yen Tu Mountain is one of the highest peaks in the Dong Trieu Mountains in the north-eastern area of Vietnam, located within the area of Uong Bi Town, Quang Ninh Province. Besides being a famous natural landscape, Yen Tu preserves numerous historical relics and is also known as “The cradle of Buddhism in Vietnam”.
7h45-8h15: Driver and guide pick you up at appointed site for departure to Yen Tu. En route to Yen Tu Pagoda, stop in Hai Duong Province for refreshment and breakfast (at your own account).
11h30: Arrive in the pagoda complex of Yen Tu. Lots of time for you to contemplate the landscape here, offer incense and pray for good luck, happiness and prosperity for your friends and families. Have Lucnh in Local restaurant, Then start take cable car to Hoa Yen Pagoda nestled on a height of 534 meters which has two frangipani flower trees which are 700 years old. After leaving this site to conquer the peak, tourists can stop at some other sites such as To Tower, Mot Mai and Bao Sai pagodas, Yen Ky Sinh stone statue and Ngoa Van Temple.
13h00:Climb 1068m up Van Tuong Mountain to reach Dong Pagoda (Bronze Pagoda). Admire the statue of An Ky Sinh en route.
16h30: Get on bus for transfer back to Hanoi. Stop for a while in Hai Duong City to enjoy Vietnamese tea and Hai Duong specialty of green bean cake.

The North West tour Ba Be - Ban Gioc - Ha Giang - Sapa 11 days

To design a perfect tour for Guests, Typical travel team had an experince trip to The North West of Hanoi for 11 days to Bac Can province, Cao Bang, Lao Cai. For discovering the natural beauty of theses areas and share the local life of ethnic children here. It is very meaningful to take pictures and give to local childs some candies or second hand things beause it will help them in a better day.
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon you arrival in Noi Bai Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to hotel in Hanoi for check in and relax. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Thai Nguyen – Ba Be (B, L, D)
We pick you up from hotel then depart for Ba Be national park via Thai Nguyen, province of tea plantation. Visit some tea hills along the way in Giang Tien town. Then continue the road trip to reach to Dinh Hoa for lunch. After that, keep going to Ba Be lake via Bac Kan province. Stop in Cho Ra market to see how is rural market. Arrival in Pac Ngoi hamlet at 4.30, where Tay people living. (The Tay people is one of the 54 Vietnamese group who still keep living very traditional style). You will have a chance to enjoy the delicious dinner by Tay woman. Overnight in stilt house.
Day 3: Boat trip on Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
It is a good chance for early riser to enjoy the very fresh atmosphere with very green forest, river, lake, rice fields… After breakfast, take the boat trip to the Ba Be lake then reach to the Dau Dang waterfall. Have the picnic lunch here with a local family. Then continue the boating trip along the Nang river to get to “Dong Puong” cave. Visit the villages & school of the Tay ethnic people located along the river then back to Pac Ngoi hamlet for relax and dinner.

Day 4: Ba Be lake – Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L)
Wake up early to visit the local market to see how the local people trading. After the breakfast, driver to Ban Gioc, visit the waterfall On this day you’ll take scenic in insightful day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall on the Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The drive their offers unique landscapes, limestone karts formations soar from the verdant rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. Along the way, you’ll see Tay, Hmong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. Heading back to Cao Bang, stop to explore the expansive 2, 144 meter Nguom Ngao Cavern to discover its brilliant stalactites.
Return to Cao Bang for overnight.
Day 5: Cao Bang – Ha Giang (B, L)
After breakfast, our driver will take you to Ha Giang.
The scenery is spectacular and the road runs along the sides of the mountains on the way.
You will visit the Meo Vac and join the local Lo Lo, White H’mong, Tay people in their daily local market. You’ll continue your journey onto the nearby village of the Lo Lo minority.
Overnight in Ha Giang.
Day 6: Ha Giang – Dong Van (B, L)
After breakfast, you will visit the small communities of Quan Ba, Yen Minh and Dong Van, some of the most picturesque villages in the northern tip of Vietnam. The scenery is spectacular – a vast limestone mountain range and perpendicular walls of rock. You’ll call in at the infamous Vuong Palace, once the home of a high-ranking H’mong family during French colonial rule. The palace attracts architecturally minded visitors due to its unusual combination of European and Chinese styles. From there you drive to Dong Van town where your guide will show you its charming ‘Old Streets’ near the market. After lunch, a scenic route will take you to the Ma Pi Leng Pass from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nho Que River – with luck you might see one of the northeast’s stunning sunsets.
Day 7: Dong Van – Hoang Su Phi (B, L)
A morning trip will take you to the Nam Hong village, home to the Red Dzao ethnic minority group. Your journey will take you through the scenic valleys where you can expect to see views of the faraway mountains and the terrace rice fields. Your guide will prepare lunch for you at a local family. After lunch, you’ll drive to Pan Hou and embark for Ha Giang, your route will take you through mountainous landscapes and striking scenery.
Day 8: Hoang Su Phi – Bac Ha (B, L,D)
Our driver takes you to Bac Ha town – which you visit a big market filled with many different hill-tribe peoples. This is the most colourful market in North Vietnam. At the market, you have chance to enjoy BacHa people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches… talking to the minorities through the guide’s interpretation. In the afternoon, our guide take you for walk to Thai Giang Pho Village of the flower H’mong and the Nung, visiting one school, and trekking by the side of the the highest mountain in BacHa through the beautiful plumb gardens before another visit to the palace of the H’mong King that built in 1921.

Day 9: Bac Ha Town – Sapa – Cat Cat Village (B, L,D)
After breakfast, our driver will transfer to Sapa town. Our guide will take you short trek to Cat Cat village, the village of H’mong tribe in the valley, which remains very generally uncorrupted outside forces. Excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H’mong village. Enjoy some visits to local families and reach their customs. After the village down into the valley, the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible. A “White curtain” cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep-green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvelous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weather.

Day 10: Sapa – Love Water fall, Sliver Water fall – Hanoi (B, L)
Located in San Sa Ho Commune with 4km to the Northwest of Sapa Town, Love Waterfall deserves to be a must-see in this allured town. The name of this waterfall, Love, originates from a legendary love story that has been told to generations in this land. The story tells that long time ago, this waterfall was the bathing place of fairies from heaven. One day, a fairy was mesmerized by flute sound of a young boy near the fall, so she spent every night listening to his melodies. Not long time after, her parentscame to know the secret, and forbade her from coming back to the fall. The passionate fairy transformed herself to a bird so that she could live with her love forever.
Then turn back to Lao Cai and take night train back to Hanoi.

Day 2 : HCM city Tour & Cu Chi Tunnels (B,L)
Morning departure for the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Return to Ho Chi Minh for lunch. Afternoon we will visit some major sights of the city. We pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before we visit the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, we continue our trip on to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale! Overnight at the hotel in HCM city.
Day 3 : HCM city – Mekong Delta Day trip (B,L)
Delta, Vietnam's largest rice bowl. On arrival My Tho we embark on a boat navigating around the intricate small canals in the delta region, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. The exciting excursion will pass the lush green vegetation before arriving at the famous Unicorn Island. Here we have opportunities to stroll around an orchard, taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy wonderful traditional music. The next stop of our trip is Ben Tre Province to visit some fascinating local industries. After feasting on a huge lunch we return to Ho Chi Minh. Overnight in HCM city.
Day 4 : HCM city – Flight to Da Nang – Hoi An (B,L) 
Morning after having breakfast, transferring to airport for flight to Da Nang. On arrival you are greeted and driven to Hoi An, which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. Arrival in Hoi An, we will visit this delightful and tranquil town, some of which are the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tam Ky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda, the vibrant market. Overnight at the hotel in Hoi An.
Day 5 : Hoi An Cooking Class – Hue (B,L)
We start the day at 8.45 am with a drink at Hai Scout Cafe - our meeting point. Visit Hoi An’s colorful market, and experience the amazing sights this market. A great opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase the ingredients for the cooking lesson.  We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise, about 25 minutes, along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. On arrival, we have a chance to explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable before learning some Hoian well-known dishes. The cooking class is an interesting and has fun as learning the locals and their cuisine art. Our class take about one and a half hour and consisting of demonstrations from the school’s chefs as well as the chance for us to help prepare some dishes. After the cooking class, we will departure for Hue, along the way, we make stopover at the sensational Marble Mountains, the Cua Dai Beach. We then follow the road crossing over the scenic Hai Van Pass before arriving in Hue, Vietnam's last imperial capital of Vietnam. Overnight at the hotel in Hue.
Day 6 : Hue Imperial City – Flight to Hanoi (B) 
After breakfast we visit the Citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple city, the Emperor's private residence then we embark on a boat cruise upstream on the Perfume River which also gives us a taste of the scenic countryside as well as an enjoyable visit to the beautiful Thien Mu pagoda. The next stop of our trip is the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. Lunch in local restaurant. On return to the city, we then take a walk to the bustling Dong Ba Market and pass many fantastic eating spots where visitors have a chance to sample some local delicacies, and then transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Day 7 : Hanoi – Halong Junk Cruise (B, L,D )
Breakfast at hotel and then start a 3-hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City, comfort stop en route for photos and coffee before arriving to Ha Long City. We then transfer to a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by swimming and exploring some of the limestone caves in this area. When the sun comes down we drop anchor for the night nearby a remote island. Dinner & Overnight on Junk.
Day 8 : Halong Junk Cruise – Hanoi (Brunch)
Rising to the tranquil beauty of the bay we have time for an early morning dip with joys and emotions for watching sunrise on sea followed by breakfast. This morning we continue to move around the bay to find more secluded areas. The junk will be near us at all times serving as a back up vessel for those that requires it. At around midday we will return to the main harbor before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for a 3-hour journey back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi, free time. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
Day 9 : Hanoi City Tour (B,L)
Today we enjoy a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex. This famous site contains the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh (Friday, Monday and from 5 Oct to 5 Dec 08 Closed) the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. We follow this with the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam and the impressive Ethnologic Museum, dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. Then visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son temple, finally short tour by cyclo in the Old Quarter. Tonight we enjoy the Water Puppet show. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
Day 10 Hanoi - Departure (B)

Homestay & Culture Immersion in Hoian

Hoi An Cultural Immersion Tours program is a fantastic and helpful program for you to try and learn new things in your Vietnam tour. It is also a great way to experience the hands-on fishing and farming together with local people.
On this overnight tour you will learn about the culture of the Vietnam’s villages as you stay with a local family and immerse yourself in the lifestyle. In the morning you will check-in to the homestay before walking to the fishing village of Thanh Nam. Climb aboard a fishing boat and go out on the water with the local fisherman, where you will learn how to fish using the nets and how to paddle the bamboo round boat.
After the fishing activities, you will climb aboard a larger boat for a cruise down to the water coconut village of Cam Thanh, where you will enjoy sightseeing. You will then cruise back to the fishing village and visit one of the local fishermen’s houses. Here you will help the host to prepare the food for lunch and maybe you can cook some fish caught earlier in the river.
In the afternoon you will return home for a rest before cycling to the farming village of An My, where you can see and learn about the Vietnamese farming methods. You can then join in all the activities with the local farmers. You will cycle back home to join the cooking experience instructed by a homestay family member and enjoy dinner with the family. Sapa has many natural sites such as HamRongMountain, Silver Waterfall, RattanBridge, Bamboo Forest and Ta Phin Cave.Sapa is also the starting point for many climbers and scientists who want to reach the top of FansipanMountain, the highest mountain in Vietnam at 3,143m.

Night 1: Hanoi -Laocai ( Overnight on the train )

20h00: Your tour guide will pick up you at the the hotel in Hanoi transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai, around 9 hrs on train.

Day 1: Lao Cai-Bac Ha market (Sunday) – Sapa (B, L, D)

After meeting a guide at the Lao Cai railway station we have breakfast there and go to the Bac Ha market for two hours by a van (AC). This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. visit the huge Bac Ha Market where is always a riot of colorful costumes with the ethnic people: Flower H’Mong, Dao Tuyen and Phu La. All get together here to buy and sell their products. BacHa market is a big market crowded with people from many different hill-tribes. This is the most colorful market in North Vietnam. Here, you have chance to enjoy the BacHa people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plums, apples and peaches.
After visiting market, visit the H’Mong Kings house (King Hoang A Tuong). Visit another Ban Pho village before going to Sapa. Stop over for see the Vietnamese and Chinese Harbor Mouth in Lao Cai. Over night in Sapa town

Day 2 : Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L, D)

After having breakfast, trekking through lush rice – terraces towards Lao Chai village, enjoy delicious lunch in the local house near by Muong Hoa River, experiencing Black H’mong people’s daily life and traditional culture. Next cross suspension bridges as you walk through Lao Chai village to Ta Van village inhabited by Zay minorities exhibiting strong Chinese culture. Bus ride returns to Sapa.
Take a fresh shower in the hotel before heading to Lao Cai train station for the night train back to Hanoi.

Ha GiangTrekking tour and Hanoi Tour 8 days

Located in the Northeast of Vietnam, Ha Giang Province is a paradise for nature lovers, trekkers and eco-tourists. Flanked by the Lo River and the Mien River, dominated by the peaks of the Tay Con Linh and Kieu Lieu Ti, the province’s landscape is spectacular, with its many high rocky summits, its striking limestone formations and its numerous springs. It is a relatively unpopulated area of Vietnam due to its challenging topography, which makes it an ideal base for trekking tours.

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Airport picks up and transfers to central Hanoi. Free time to explore Hanoi Old Quarter while your guide unpack bike box and build up your bike. Short bike riding around the old quarter to make sure that your bike works well. Tonight, you stay overnight in Hanoi

Day2: Ha Noi City tour

An early start gets us out on the bikes and into the streets of Hanoi. As the markets are humming and people are exercising around Hoan Khiem Lake, we will ride to visit The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature. We will then cross the river for a ride around some of the farmlands surrounding Hanoi. The late afternoon is free for you to adjust to Vietnam.

Day 3 : Transfer to Ha Giang

After a morning walk of the Old Quarter, we will leave mid morning for our drive out of Hanoi and into the foothills of Ha Giang Province. We will reach the provincial capital in the late afternoon. This is a small town and gives us a taste of the sorts of places we will be spending out time in for the next week or so. Few travelers make their way to this province and even fewer to the areas that we will be traveling through.

Day 4: Cycles to Tam Son (60km )

Today we begin the challenge. Shortly after leaving Ha Giang, we start climbing and continue an uphill ride through the day. We will climb over the dramatic Cong Troi Pass; we will drop into Tam Son, a very small town on the side of the mountains where we spend the night.

Day 5 : Cycles to Yen Minh (65km)

We start the day with a fantastic descent into a lush valley. We then follow a small river along the valley and pass the ruins of a French position from the Indochina war. We then start climbing again to reach the top of Doan Kiet pass. We then descend into Yen Minh, which sits at the base of another sub-range of mountains bordering China.

Day 6 : Cycle to Dong Van (68km)

We enjoy some level ground as we leave town and then after our first rest stop, start climbing. Today’s climbs are harder, but more spectacular, as we move into a higher altitude. We will climb through the black volcanic rock, where you will see various hill-tribes seeking out a living from this infertile ground. The colorful, traditional costumes of these people will help you to face the challenge of the mountains, and the views over these spectacular mountains and through the huge gorges will reward your efforts. Tonight we stay in the mountain town of Dong Van. At this point, we are less than 20km from the Chinese border.

Day 7 : Cycle and drive to Ha Giang ( 44km)

We set off through Chinese, border frontier country. We pass many houses of the hill tribes, constructed from compacted mud. We have some climbing to do, before we enjoy a big descent on our loop back to Yen Minh. From Yen Minh, we will drive back to Ha Giang. Overnight in Hagiang

Day 8 : Ha Giang – Ha Noi

Having breakfast at the hotel and then you are driven back to Hanoi. Tour finishes in Hanoi around 4:30.
